Schedule a Prenatal Consult! Your Prenatal Consult is an opportunity for us to identify potential challenges and provide anticipatory guidance. Janice will provide recommendations about equipment, like breast pumps with appropriate flanges, and skills like hand expression. We recommend scheduling a Prenatal Consult for 2-4 months prior to your due date.
Already delivered
Schedule an Initial Consult if this is the first time you’ll meet with Janice after delivery (even if you previously had a Prenatal Consult with her).
“I am so grateful for Janice! Until our consultation I was in a lot of pain and my baby was not gaining weight. Having her help me with the latch and other advice was a game changer and made breastfeeding enjoyable. ”
More about Janice
Janice’s journey to becoming an IBCLC began when she worked as an RN in a pediatric office. She regularly met families at routine well baby visits who needed breastfeeding help. Mothers came in with engorgement, latch problems, confusion about pumping, and general frustration with breastfeeding, sometimes just a day or two after they’d left the hospital. These situations inspired Janice to seek out specialized education in lactation, starting with training as a CLC, and eventually achieving certification as an IBCLC.
Today, Janice combines her years of experience in pediatrics, working in both office and hospital settings, with her knowledge as an IBCLC to provide families with the professional breastfeeding support they need. She takes pride in helping parents feel empowered to make the best decisions for themselves and their babies.
“Janice has been amazing! From our first appointment she had been super helpful and supportive! She always touches on the areas I am looking for support with and has amazing follow up!! The plans she provides are super informative and helpful!”
